Students in Need at NMMU

This morning I received the following email at school:

ImageDear NMMU Staff and Students

The Faculty of Law’s Ubuntu Community Outreach Programme will be collecting food for Campus Health’s Nutrition programme from Wed 12 to Fri 14 March during lunch time (12:05 – 13:05) outside the Faculty of Law. Campus Health is currently assisting almost 1000 of our students with its nutrition programme so please assist us in helping them.

If you cannot drop of supplies during lunch, please leave them at faculty reception.

We are looking for the following:

* Small jars of peanut butter
* Small jars of any kind of jam
* Packets of 2 minute noodles
* Beef or chicken stock cubes
* Samp
* Morvite
* Small packets of Oats
* Small tins of pilchards
* Small cans of vegetables (any kind)

I was talking with the SCSU students who are here for the short-term experience and I told them how overwhelming the need can be, from all directions, while you’re here.  This email was another example of how need constantly surrounds you and colors your experience.
